Meta tags

Set meta tags for a page. This will inform search engines on the page content and help improve its results in the SERPs.

Meta Title is used to display the website name in search results (SERPs). Maximum recommended length: 70 characters.

Meta Description is a short page description that helps users and search engines understand its main topic. Recommended length: 160-200 characters.

Keywords are key words and phrases relevant for a page. It is recommended to indicate 3-5 key words or phrases.

Be sure to publish the page after making changes to your SEO settings for the updates to take effect. Indexing meta tag changes by search engines can take from a few days to a few weeks.

SEO variables

You can use SEO variables to save data for meta tags and reuse them across multiple project pages. This can be, for example, company data (name, address, phone number). In this case, when changing data, they will need to be changed only in variables, and in meta tags they will change automatically.

To view a list of added SEO variables or add new ones, click on the See variables button.

In the panel that opens, you will see information about the available variables. To create a new variable, click on the Add variable button.

For new variable set:

  • Name that describes a variable.
  • Variable name that will be used when a variable will be added to the meta tag. Variable name can only contain lowercase Latin letters. The "$var_seo" prefix will be automatically added to the name. To add a variable to the meta tag, you need to write the name as follows: {$var_seo_Variable name}.
  • Variable value that will be displayed in meta tags when adding a variable.

Indexing and links

You can prevent a page from being indexed by search engines by selecting this option in the indexing settings. Page indexing is enabled by default.

You can also prevent search engines from crawling links on a page. By default, search engines will follow all links on the page.

SEO settings can also be set not only for specific pages but also for the project as a whole. For details, see: SEO settings for a project.
